Spike's 2000 Medical Record- Had vaccinations for:
Age: Approximately 8 weeks Weight: 2.5 pounds - Spike had been sneezing for a few days. He also had runny eyes. I spoke with our vet and she prescribed an antibiotic for what she believed was just a cold. Spike didn't have to visit the vet, so I just picked up the medication. Spike was on the Clavamox drops for one week, which I had to mix in with kitty milk (lactose-free) to disguise it. Age: 9 weeks - Spike was limping when I woke up. He wasn't jumping around, and was trying not to step on his front left paw. I called the vet immediately, and she scheduled me for an appointment 40 minutes from when I called in. When she examined him, she saw that one of his little toes was dislocated. She massaged it back into place and gave him a Dexamethasone injection for the pain. He was up and back to normal in about two days. Age: 11.5 weeks Weight: 3.4 pounds - Had vaccinations for:
Weight: 3.4 pounds - Spike was brought into the vet's clinic for a checkup because he was throwing up more than what I thought was normal. The vet checked him out and gave him a clean bill of health. She thought he just might be eating too much too quickly. Age: 16 weeks Weight: 4.5 pounds - I dropped Spike off at the vet's at 8:45am to be neutered. At noon, when I called to check up on him, I was told he was doing well, and was still sleeping. When I picked him up at 5:00pm, he was very groggy, and rested during the ride home. He was very groggy all evening, but recuperated well, and seemed near-normal by Friday afternoon. By Saturday, he was back to his usual, playful self. Age: Couple days shy of 7 months Weight: 6.0 pounds |
